Recently, the national standard "Determination of Chlorine Content in Plastic Epoxy Resin Part 3: Total Chlorine" drafted with the participation of Zhilun New Material Technology (Xi'an) Co., Ltd. has been approved. This standard is under the jurisdiction of TC15 (National Plastic Standardization Technical Committee) and implemented by TC15SC11 (Thermosetting Plastics Branch of National Plastic Standardization Technical Committee).

The total chlorine content in epoxy resin is directly related to product performance and application safety. The formulation and implementation of standards aim to standardize the control indicators of total chlorine content through precise measurement methods. Excessive chlorine content can lead to a decrease in the thermal deformation temperature of cured products, a significant increase in medium loss, and thus affect the stability of downstream products. Especially in high-end fields such as electronic information, integrated circuits, LCD screens, printed circuit boards, etc., electronic grade epoxy resins have more stringent requirements for purity and chlorine content.
